"The church of St.Peter's is a small but
ancient building of rubble in the Early English style, consisting of a chancel
and nave and a western turret containing 2 bells: there are 100 sittings. The
register dates from 1600." - Kelly's
Directory 1937.
The
church is also a grade II listed building, the full architectural description is
available on the listed

It is believed that the famous writer and diplomat Sir
Thomas Elyot is buried in the church.
